Cybersecurity recruitment in London

London is where most of our UK work sits. Financial services, fintech, consultancies and managed security providers — searched from Cape Town, on London hours.

The London security hiring market

London has the deepest concentration of cyber security roles in Europe and, correspondingly, the most competition for the people who fill them. Financial services sets the pace — banks, insurers and asset managers running large security functions under FCA and PRA operational-resilience expectations. Fintech hires smaller and broader, wanting engineers who can cover cloud, application security and compliance rather than specialists in one lane. Consultancies and MSSPs hire continuously, and they hire the same people the end clients want.

The practical consequence for an employer is that a strong London candidate is usually in three processes at once. Slow feedback loses them. This is where our timezone genuinely helps: we are working your morning, not catching up on it.

What we place in London

Being honest about where we are strong

For scarce technical skills, specialist focus matters more than a postcode. We hold a credible conversation about detection engineering or Kubernetes security posture, which is what those candidates respond to, and that market is national and remote-friendly.

Where a London-based agency with a walk-in pipeline will beat us is high-volume junior hiring on short notice. We will tell you that rather than take the brief and underdeliver.

Common questions

Do you have a London office?

No. We recruit London roles from Cape Town, one to two hours ahead of you. Our UK page explains how that works in practice.

Which London sectors do you recruit for?

Financial services and insurance, fintech, security consultancies and MSSPs, and the legal and professional services firms that have built security functions over the last few years.

Can you compete with London agencies on candidate access?

On scarce technical skills, often yes — that market is national and increasingly remote, and specialist focus beats local presence. On high-volume junior hiring where a London agency has a walk-in pipeline, we would tell you they are better placed.

What about day-rate and contract roles?

We handle both. IR35 status determination is the responsibility of the client; we make sure candidates understand the basis on which a role is being offered before they engage.
